Natural floral aroma with hints of fresh orchids and gardenia in a pale green to light gold, crisp and smooth liquor.
A descendant of oolong varieties from the Anxi Fujian, Tung Ting was brought to the cool and foggy eponymous central Taiwan mountain in the mid-1800s. Our Tung Ting is lightly oxidized, with brilliant whole green leaves. We use exclusively Winter harvested leaves for our Tung Ting, picked at 750 meters (2300 feet) above sea level.
When brewed, Tung Ting produces a pale green to light gold liquor that is highly aromatic with a striking floral scent reminiscent of fresh orchids and gardenia. The sweet and refreshing taste will linger on the palate.
If you've never tried oolong, but you enjoy green tea, you'll find our Tung Ting a pleasant change.
Can be paired with milder cheeses, such as brie, cheddar, and muenster; fresh or dried fruits; or milky desserts, such as crème brûlée.
